About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics Patient Care at UT MD Anderson is seeking a full-time faculty position at the level of Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment to join the team. The clinical faculty position will provide robust, interdisciplinary critical care to infants, children, adolescents, and AYA's suffering from life-threatening, life-limiting, and terminal diseases.

Requirements

Completed an M.D. or DO degree from an accredited medical school or equivalent.
Completed residency training in an approved American Pediatric residency program or equivalent.
Board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics or foreign equivalent if applicable.
Board certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics or foreign equivalent if applicable, or obtain Pediatric Critical Care Medicine board certification within five years of employment.
Licensed as a physician in the state of Texas.
5 years as an Associate Professor or equivalent or 15 years post clinical degree.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical expertise in pediatric care.
Provide an appropriate teaching environment for fellows, residents, and students, including delivery of lectures and bedside teaching.
Participate and collaborate with the department's ongoing research program and scholarly work to enhance the academic environment of the department.
Possess strong communication skills to communicate with patients, family members, hospital staff and other faculty members within the Institution.
