About The Position

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Limited Casual Professional Staff Nurse to support its office in Greensburg. Weekend and evening availability is required to support the hours of operation. Clinic hours are 4:30 p.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The nurse provides patient care using critical thinking and clinical judgment, formulates holistic care plans, and assists physicians. The role also includes patient and family education, effective communication and comprehensive documentation, collaboration with team members, participation in quality improvement and shared governance, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Knowledge and skills for age-specific patient care.
• Current RN licensure in the state where the facility is located, or a multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) license from a participating state; a Temporary Practice Permit (TPP) is also mentioned.
• BLS or CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Graduate nurses must complete the licensure examination within six months of hire.
• Required clearances: Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73.
• Weekend and evening availability is required.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum six months of experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• UPMC-approved national certification preferred.
