About The Position

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Limited Part-Time Professional Staff Nurse to support its office in Cranberry. Weekend and evening availability is required to support the clinic's hours of operation. Clinic hours are 4:30 p.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. A sign-on bonus is available if applicable.

The nurse provides patient care using critical thinking, clinical judgment, and evidence-based practices. The role includes developing holistic care plans, assisting physicians, educating and supporting patients and families, and communicating and documenting care effectively. The nurse also builds positive relationships with team members and patients, supports students and new staff, participates in quality improvement and shared governance, and engages in professional development.

Requirements

• Knowledge and skills for age-specific patient care.
• Current RN licensure in the state where the facility is located, or a multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) license from a participating state.
• Graduate nurses must complete the licensure examination within six months of hire.
• BLS or CPR certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Required clearances: Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73.
• Weekend and evening availability is required.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum six months of experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• UPMC-approved national certification preferred.
