About The Position

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Limited Part-Time Patient Services Representative to support its Cranberry offices. Weekend and evening availability is required to support clinic operations. Clinic hours are 4:30 p.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m.–8 p.m. Saturday, and 9:30 a.m.–6 p.m. Sunday. Registration and EPIC experience are preferred.

The representative greets patients, assists with check-in, collects copayments, updates patient information, schedules follow-up appointments, and connects patients with services. The role also helps patients navigate the healthcare system, registers patients in Biometrics, promotes the MyUPMC portal, explains financial responsibilities and connects patients with resources, verifies insurance, obtains consent signatures, follows HIPAA regulations, handles phone calls, scans records, and performs other office duties.

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 clearances.

Nice To Haves

• Registration and EPIC experience.
• Experience with personal computer-based applications and various office equipment, and proficient typing skills.
• Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems.

Responsibilities
