About The Position

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a regular part-time Professional Staff Nurse to support its office in Hummelstown. Weekend and evening availability is required. Clinic hours are 4:30 p.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. A sign-on bonus may be available if applicable.

The nurse provides patient care using clinical judgment and evidence-based practices, helps formulate holistic care plans, and assists physicians. The role also involves communicating and documenting care, supporting patients and families through education, collaborating with team members, and contributing to quality improvement and professional development.

Requirements

• Knowledge and skills for age-specific patient care.
• Current RN licensure in the state where the facility is located, or a multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) license from a participating state.
• Graduate nurses must complete the licensure examination within six months of hire.
• BLS or CPR certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Required clearances: Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73.
• Employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who change residency to the state where the facility is located must apply for licensure in that state within 60 days of the residency change.

Nice To Haves

• At least six months of experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• UPMC-approved national certification preferred.
• Current RN licensure or a Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
