About The Position

The Professional Logistics role ensures the successful importation, transportation, storage, and delivery of material and product for product distribution sites. The role participates in continuous improvement efforts to improve logistics processes and partnerships and collaborates extensively with similar functions in other regions across the globe. The position is based onsite in Juneau with Harley-Davidson Motor Company. It is full-time and includes 0–10% travel. The role has direct reports and is eligible for domestic relocation assistance within the United States. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Typically, a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Experience in and awareness of project management, change management, continuous improvement principles, and participation in cross-functional teams.
Thorough planning, organizational, data analysis, and data interpretation abilities.
Effective written and verbal communication, collaboration, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
Ability to analyze and communicate technical subjects clearly and understandably.

Nice To Haves

International experience, including working with people from other cultures.
SAP experience.
Knowledge of a second language.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Order Management and Demand/Supply Planning, to ensure agreed-upon service levels are met and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Support international shipping by creating export shipping documentation.
Engage and partner with third-party logistics (3PL) partners for warehousing, transportation, and customs brokerage at the distribution site.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implement distribution network design improvements to meet current and future sales channel requirements.
Collaborate with peers across other regions and markets to share best practices and build a global community focused on consistency and improvement.
Report key performance indicators in a manner consistent across the company.
