About The Position

TKDA is seeking a professional electrical engineer to design electrical systems for commercial, general aviation, and air defense facilities. The role includes power distribution, lighting, controls, emergency generators, communications systems, and airport infrastructure, including airfield lighting, signage, NAVAIDs, electrical vaults, and related control equipment. The engineer will prepare calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates using AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering design tools. The position works with multidisciplinary teams and offers opportunities to learn aviation-specific design, FAA requirements, airport operations, and infrastructure systems from experienced engineers and technical specialists. Work also includes field investigations, site visits, construction observation, client and project-planning meetings, proposal support, and relationship development with airport clients, stakeholders, contractors, and project teams. The role offers the opportunity to expand technical expertise, project-management responsibilities, and client-facing experience, with potential development into a technical leader in the aviation practice. The position requires periodic travel, approximately 10–15%, for project meetings, site visits, conferences, and client engagements. The stated base salary range is $93,750–$135,000 for candidates with professional registration and 4–12 years of qualified electrical engineering experience; compensation may vary. Additional compensation may include straight-time or premium compensation, discretionary bonuses, annual ESOP allocations, and 401(k) matching. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. A standard pre-employment background screening is required following acceptance of a conditional offer.
