About The Position

TKDA is seeking a professional electrical engineer to design electrical systems for commercial, general aviation, and air defense facilities. The role involves developing power distribution, lighting, control, emergency generator, communications, and other airport infrastructure systems, including airfield lighting, signage, NAVAIDs, electrical vaults, and associated control equipment. The team provides technical guidance, mentoring, and hands-on project experience in aviation infrastructure design, including airfield lighting, NAVAIDs, airport power systems, communications networks, and airfield controls. The engineer will prepare calculations, reports, plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates using AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering design tools. Work includes collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams, learning and applying aviation-specific requirements, and participating in field investigations, site visits, and construction observation. The role also involves client and project planning meetings, proposal support, and building relationships with airport clients, stakeholders, contractors, and project teams. The position offers opportunities to expand technical expertise, project management responsibilities, client-facing experience, and leadership within the aviation practice.
