About The Position

The Faculty of Law, Civil Law Section, is seeking to recruit part-time professors who are distinguished by their expertise and play a leading role in the legal profession. This position is for the course 'Peuples autochtones et droit' (Indigenous Peoples and Law) during the 2027 Winter Semester.

Requirements

  • Hold an LL.L. or LL.B. (or equivalent).
  • Be a member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec, the bar of another province, or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
  • Have significant and relevant experience in the field concerned by this course and/or hold a graduate degree in this field and/or have contributed to research through academic publications demonstrating recognized expertise in this field.

Nice To Haves

  • University teaching experience in a law faculty is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course 'Peuples autochtones et droit' (DRC1709, Section AA00) during the 2027 Winter Semester.
  • Provide instruction in French.
  • Potentially contribute to research through academic publications demonstrating recognized expertise in the field.
