About The Position
This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the CMN3565-A00 course, titled "Industries des médias" (Media Industries), during the Fall 2026 semester at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Arts, Department of Communication. The course will study the relationship between the development of media technologies and the Canadian regulatory system, covering topics such as cable distribution, direct satellite transmission, addressability, conglomerates, competition, protectionism, listening behaviors, and specialty channels. The course will be delivered in French and will be offered in person on Friday evenings.
Requirements
- Hold a Ph.D. or a Master's degree in Communication (preferred).
- Possess expertise or professional experience directly related to the course content.
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

- Teaching experience in the subject area of the course.
Responsibilities
- Teach the CMN3565 course on Media Industries.
- Deliver instruction in French.
- Conduct the course in person on Fridays from 17:30 to 20:30.
