About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach PSY3521: Psychologie des femmes et du genre (Women and Gender Psychology) during the Winter 2027 semester at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Psychology. The course covers theoretical and methodological issues concerning women, gender, and gender identity, including biological and socialization factors, stereotypes, societal roles, identity, mental health, violence, and current research. The course is offered in-person and has an expected enrollment of 117 students. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Advanced knowledge of the course content area (Psychology of Women, Gender, and Gender Identity)
  • Competence in French (language of instruction)
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

Responsibilities

  • Teach PSY3521: Psychologie des femmes et du genre (Women and Gender Psychology).
