About The Position

The Common Law Section seeks to recruit part-time professors who are leaders in the legal profession. This course focuses on the legal status of non-unionized employees, particularly in the private sector, and examines employment contracts under common law as well as relevant federal and provincial legislation.

Requirements

  • LL.B. or J.D. (or equivalent).
  • Member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario (or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in employment law.
  • Competence in French instruction.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience teaching this course.
  • Leadership in the legal profession.

Responsibilities

  • Teach CML3787, Employment Law, Section A00.
  • Provide instruction in French.
  • Conduct classes on Mondays from 11:30 AM to 12:50 PM and Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 11:20 AM.
  • Potentially fulfill other duties as outlined in the APTPUO collective agreements.
