About The Position

The Faculty of Law, Civil Law Section, seeks to recruit part-time professors who are distinguished by their expertise and play a leading role in the legal profession. This specific posting is for DRC2500, Compétences des juristes II: Séminaire de recherche et d'exposé juridique, focusing on Droit de la famille et protection de l’enfant (Family Law and Child Protection). The course is a research and legal presentation seminar, scheduled for the Winter 2027 semester, with an expected enrollment of 24 students. Instruction will be in French, with passive competence in a second language being sufficient. The course is listed as type 'B' and is an irregular posting.

Requirements

  • Hold a Master's degree or a Doctorate in Law.
  • Have extensive and demonstrated experience in legal research methodology (legal dissertation).
  • Have significant and relevant experience in the field concerned by the course's theme and/or hold a graduate degree in this field and/or have contributed to research through academic publications demonstrating recognized expertise in this field.
  • The candidate must be a Regular Part-Time Professor.
