This course aims to respond to Call to Action #28 of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. It seeks to present the history and legacy of Indigenous residential schools, the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, treaties and Indigenous rights, Indigenous law, and the relationship between the State and Indigenous peoples. It also aims to foster the development of skills in intercultural competence, dispute resolution, human rights, and anti-racism.
