About The Position
This course aims to respond to Call to Action #28 of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. It seeks to present the history and legacy of Indigenous residential schools, the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, treaties and Indigenous rights, Indigenous law, and the relationship between the State and Indigenous peoples. It also aims to foster the development of skills in intercultural competence, dispute resolution, human rights, and anti-racism.
Requirements
- LL.B. or J.D.
- Member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario (or equivalent).
- Significant experience in the field.
- Ability to teach in French.

- Previous experience teaching this course.
Responsibilities
- Teach the course "Vérité, réconciliation et peuples autochtones" (CML1707 Section A) for the Fall 2026 semester.
- Develop and deliver course content related to Indigenous residential schools, UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, treaties, Indigenous rights, Indigenous law, and State-Indigenous relations.
- Foster the development of skills in intercultural competence, dispute resolution, human rights, and anti-racism.
