The Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Political Studies is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Modern Political Thought II (POL3502, Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester. The course explores the origins and development of advanced modern political thought from the 19th century to the present, potentially covering themes such as socialism, liberalism, Marxism, decolonialism, feminism, postmodernism, and Indigenous perspectives. It is recommended that students have completed POL 2507 and POL 2508 prior to this course. The course is expected to have an enrolment of 80 students and is a 3-credit course. The instruction language is French, with a requirement for competence in a second language. The course is scheduled to be held on Tuesdays from 19:00 to 22:00, and will be offered in person, though the mode of instruction may change due to health or other reasons.
