About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the course DVM 6511, titled "Thèmes choisis en croissance économique, secteur privé et inclusion sociale" (Selected Themes in Economic Growth, Private Sector, and Social Inclusion). The course is a 3-credit lecture-based course and will be delivered in person on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 11:20 AM during the Fall 2026 semester. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The hourly rate for teaching is $239.47 (2024-2025), which does not include vacation or statutory pay. These rates are applicable until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid after ratification. The language of instruction is French, with a requirement for competence in a second language.

Requirements

Completed or in-progress Doctorate in International Development or a related field.
Competence in a second language (French is the language of instruction).
Ability to teach in French.
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience in university teaching is an asset.
Potential subjects could be inspired by themes of poverty and inequality, the solidarity economy, BRICS+ countries, or public-private partnerships.

Responsibilities

Teach the course DVM 6511: Thèmes choisis en croissance économique, secteur privé et inclusion sociale (3 credits).
Deliver the course in person on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 11:20 AM.
Develop and submit a course outline (one to two pages) indicating how the course expectations (theme, content, literature, pedagogy) will be met.
Potentially propose a subject for the seminar, subject to departmental approval, if not already fixed by the department.
