About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the course "Politique des peuples autochtones au Canada" (POL3559, Section A00) during the Winter 2027 semester at the University of Ottawa. The course will study the historical and contemporary issues of the relationship between Indigenous peoples and the Canadian state, including Indigenous peoples' rights and Indigenous conceptions of governance and Indigenous movements. The course is expected to have an enrolment of 74 students and is a 3-credit course. The instruction language is French, with a requirement for competence in a second language. The course is planned to be offered in person, but the mode of instruction may change due to health or other reasons.

Requirements

  • Doctorate or doctoral coursework in the field of the announced course.
  • Teaching experience in the field.
  • Competence in a second language.
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
