About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the course "Développement et évaluation de programmes récréatifs" (LSR2518, Section A00) during the 2027 Winter Semester in the Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Human Kinetics. The course focuses on the elements of recreational programs, including planning, organization, and evaluation techniques for developing programs that meet individual and community development needs. The position is limited to Regular Part-Time Professors. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The listed rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid after ratification. Requirements

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Leisure studies or a related field.
  • 3 credits / 3 credits.
  • 39 hours of teaching per semester.
  • Teaching mode: In-person.
  • Schedule: Tuesday 7:00 PM - 9:50 PM.
  • Competence in a second language is required.
  • An acceptable level of education/experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
  • If invited to continue the selection process, notify of any adaptive measures required.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD (or equivalent) in Leisure studies or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in a university setting is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course "Développement et évaluation de programmes récréatifs" (LSR2518, Section A00).

  • Complete mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
