About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach FLS 3581 D00, an oral and written production course in French as a second language, associated with PSY 2510 A00. The course aims to develop second language oral and written production skills for non-francophone students, enabling them to express ideas and write assignments in French. The instructor will also be required to follow the discipline course, PSY 2510 A00, which is delivered in person. Students may be enrolled in either section A00 or B00 of PSY 2510.

Requirements

Master's degree in didactics of French as a second language or a relevant field.
Two years of experience teaching French as a second language at the university level, or equivalent.
Familiarity with software and technology relevant to teaching French as a second language courses.
Knowledge of immersion pedagogy demonstrated by CV.
Any professor who taught an FLS/ESL course at OLBI before January 1, 2018, is considered to meet the degree requirement.

Responsibilities

Teach FLS 3581 D00, focusing on oral and written production in French as a second language.
Develop students' confidence in expressing ideas and writing assignments in French.
Follow the discipline course, PSY 2510 A00, which is delivered in person.
Potentially follow the discipline course schedule: Monday 13:00-14:20 and Wednesday 11:30-12:50.
