About The Position
This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach FLS 3581 B00, Immersion 2: Oral and Written Production, associated with NSG 2717 A00. This is a French as a Second Language (FSL) course for non-francophone students, focusing on developing oral and written production skills in a second language. The instructor will also be required to follow the discipline course, NSG 2717 A00, which meets on Wednesdays from 12:00 to 13:50 in person. The language course meets on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:30 in person. The course is taught in French, and exam answers in the discipline course can be in English or French, but only in French for the language course.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Didactics of French as a Second Language or a relevant field.
- Two years of experience teaching FSL at the university level, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with relevant software and technology for teaching FSL courses.
- Knowledge of immersion pedagogy demonstrated by CV.
- Any professor who taught an FLS/ESL course at OLBI before January 1, 2018, is considered to meet the degree requirement.
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Responsibilities

- Develop students' oral and written production skills in French as a second language.
- Provide students with the confidence to express ideas and write assignments in French.
- Follow the discipline course, NSG 2717 A00.
