About The Position
As a Production Worker, you will support the production process that transforms logs into high-quality lumber. You will work alongside production workers and skilled trades professionals, gaining hands-on experience across multiple areas of the mill. Training may include machine operation, fire watch, stacking, cleaning, and other tasks. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work in a busy, active mill environment. Both day and night shift positions are available.
Requirements
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to safely perform physical work, including lifting, pulling, piling, and sweeping materials, as well as standing, walking, and working in an active mill environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks and help where needed.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety standards and programs, including Lock Out/Tag Out protocols, and participate in ongoing training.
- Clean equipment and maintain a tidy work area.
- Operate equipment associated with the assigned role and report issues as needed to help ensure continuous operation.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pulling, piling, and sweeping.
