About The Position

Hydro Extrusions is hiring a Production Worker to process and prepare aluminum extrusions to customer specifications and production requirements. The role includes operating stretching equipment, loading aluminum logs with a crane or Combi-Lift, and checking product quality with measurement tools and visual inspection. Production Workers collaborate with Press, Saw, and Packing team members to meet production and productivity goals while following work instructions, safety procedures, and PPE requirements. The available schedule is a night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM on a 12-hour rotating schedule, with the same every-other-weekend schedule. The starting rate is $20.00 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour shift premium for applicable shifts. No formal education or previous experience is required; manufacturing experience is an asset.

Requirements

No formal education or previous experience required.
Good communication skills in English, spoken and written.
Ability to work a full 12-hour shift.
Ability to work in both hot and cold conditions.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements.

Manufacturing experience is an asset.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate SCS and AS400 systems.

Responsibilities

Process, pack, band, tag, and/or prepare aluminum extrusions according to customer specifications and production requirements.
Operate stretching equipment according to order specifications.
Load aluminum logs using a crane or Combi-Lift.
Use measurement tools and visual inspection to verify product quality and identify damage.
Work with Press, Saw, and Packing team members to meet productivity and production goals.
Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
