About The Position
The Production Worker - Laminating (Creel Tender) supports the Laminator Operator to help maintain efficient operations, product quality and quantity, workplace cleanliness, and safe work practices. The role is in the Gumming/Laminating department and involves maintaining creels, handling yarns and spools, preparing materials, and assisting with mill rolls and web breaks. The employee receives instructions from the Operator and Manager or Supervisors and performs other tasks as directed.
Responsibilities
- Receive instructions from the Operator and Manager or Supervisors.
- Maintain upstairs and downstairs creels and ensure the correct yarn denier and placement are used for the shop work order.
- Place spools on creel racks and splice them together.
- Put CD yarns in the scrim.
- Put yarns in the eyeboard and comb.
- Package reject and empty spools.
- Stock spools and supplies in creel areas.
- Assist the Operator or Assistant Operator with mill roll unwind splices and preparation.
- Assist the Operator or Assistant Operator with web breaks.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Manager or Supervisor.
- Support efficient operations, product quality and quantity, area cleanliness, and safe work practices.
