About The Position

This is an entry-level general labor role in a food manufacturing facility. Under immediate direction, the Production Worker performs manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials while maintaining a safe work environment and following policies and procedures. The position is an individual contributor with no direct reports. The role is hiring for both first and second shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at machine speed.
Ability to understand written English is preferred.
Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite products.
0–1 years of experience in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with setting up production lines and work areas according to established procedures and specifications.
Verify equipment setup and operation to obtain desired results.
Inspect products periodically during the shift to verify they meet specifications.
Assist the operator with troubleshooting equipment when necessary.
Perform operator job functions when the operator is not present.
Contact management for support when problems arise and communicate issues to management.
Keep the work area clean.
Follow safety lockout/tag-out procedures and report unsafe conditions to management.
Follow instructions and assist others as needed.
Understand and follow GMPs, and instruct others on them.
Practice appropriate safety procedures through education, training, use of protective equipment as applicable, and compliance with safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.
