Production Worker/Forklift - Temporary position

About The Position

This is a temporary position for approximately 3 months, with a shift schedule of Monday through Thursday, 6 AM to 4 PM. The role involves both production line operations and forklift/warehouse duties. The salary is $18/hour. A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.

Requirements

One to two years forklift operation experience in an outdoor setting.
Will be bending/lifting around 50 lbs bags throughout the shift.
Will be working indoor and outdoor settings.
Will be surrounded by sawdust.
Must possess good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task.
Ability to immediately understand and react to verbal safety commands, audio alarms, and written hazard alerts in English in a Manufacturing setting.
Proficient in English to accurately read, interpret, and execute equipment lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and machine operation manuals.
Sufficient English verbal skills to clearly and instantly report machine malfunctions, near-misses, or unsafe floor conditions to supervisors and team members.
Clear, real-time communication and strict adherence to English-language safety signage are mandatory for workplace safety.

Nice To Haves

Production line experience in an industrial setting highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate packaging equipment, including bag feeder, pallet jack, and shrink-wrapping machine.
Ensure bags are stacked appropriately on pallets and positioned for warehouse placement.
Accurately complete production reports.
Take pellet samples for quality control testing.
Label/tag wrapped pallets with required quality control information.
Operate a forklift in warehouse and production areas to move, transport, and stack wrapped pallets of wood pellets.
Load trucks for delivery, ensuring all required paperwork is filled out and signed.
Count and record pallets for inventory purposes.
Stack junk pallets for proper disposal.
Maintain communication with co-workers and control room leads on work status.
