About The Position

This is a temporary position, expected to last around 3 months. The role involves operating packaging equipment, managing pallets, and operating a forklift in both indoor and outdoor settings. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and clear communication in English.

Requirements

One to two years forklift operation experience in an outdoor setting
Will be bending/lifting around 50 lbs bags throughout the shift
Will be working indoor and outdoor settings
Will be surrounded by sawdust
Must possess good eye, hand and foot coordination
Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task
Ability to immediately understand and react to verbal safety commands, audio alarms, and written hazard alerts in English in a Manufacturing setting.
Proficient in English to accurately read, interpret, and execute equipment lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and machine operation manuals.
Sufficient English verbal skills to clearly and instantly report machine malfunctions, near-misses, or unsafe floor conditions to supervisors and team members.
This role operates in the immediate vicinity of fast-moving, heavy automated equipment. Clear, real-time communication and strict adherence to English-language safety signage are mandatory for workplace safety.

Production line experience in an industrial setting highly preferred

Responsibilities

Operation of packaging equipment, including bag feeder, pallet jack and shrink-wrapping machine
Ensure bags are stacked appropriately on pallets, and are positioned for placement in the warehouse
Accurate completion of production reports
Taking pellet samples for quality control testing
Labeling/tagging wrapped pallets with required quality control information
Operation of forklift in the warehouse and other production areas to move, transport and stack wrapped pallets of wood pellets in a neat and orderly fashion.
Operate forklift to load trucks for delivery, ensuring all required paperwork has been filled out and signed
Count and record pallets for inventory purposes
Stack junk pallets until they can be disposed of properly
Maintain communication with co-workers and control room leads on status of work
Other duties as assigned
