Production Technician
About The Position
The Production Technician assembles, tests, and inspects industrial computers, electronic components, and related products to ensure they meet quality standards and product specifications. The role works closely with Quality Assurance and Production Support to resolve equipment issues, maintain an organized work area, and follow established production procedures. The objective is to ensure industrial computer products and electronic components are assembled, tested, and inspected accurately and efficiently while meeting quality standards, product specifications, and company procedures. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school education; an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science is a plus.
- One to two years of related industrial PC and control systems assembly experience and/or training.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical diagrams, and procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, fellow employees, and customers.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Assemble and test single board computers, embedded PCs, panel PCs, industrial chassis and workstations, PC140 modules, and data acquisition products as assigned by the production supervisor.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance personnel on efficient integration of industrial PC components.
- Work with the Production Support Technician to resolve problems related to the proper operation of equipment under test.
- Examine parts and accessories for conformance with specifications and alert Quality Assurance personnel when necessary.
- Maintain tools and equipment in the assigned work area.
- Adhere to the Quality Management System.
