About The Position

The Production Technician supports broadcast production and audio/visual requirements for broadcasts, concerts, and special events. The role involves setting up, operating, breaking down, taking inventory of, and maintaining broadcast, audio, lighting, and video equipment. The technician takes on assigned production responsibilities, responds to client needs, communicates respectfully, and provides technical support throughout events. Work hours vary by show and may include days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Work may involve high noise levels, manual labor, moderate lifting, extended periods on your feet, working at heights over 50 feet, and operating scissor or bucket lifts. The essential responsibilities may change due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

Requirements

• Experience in broadcast production and A/V equipment relevant to assigned responsibilities.
• Ability to operate machines such as scissor and bucket lifts and work at heights over 50 feet.
• Ability to lift and push a minimum of 50 pounds and spend long periods on your feet.
• Working knowledge of broadcast production, audio, video, lighting, and general A/V equipment.
• Three to five years of experience working in a live performing arts venue, center, or theater.
• Knowledge and experience working with stagehand personnel.
• Knowledge of operations, maintenance, and arena management.
• Working knowledge of applicable OSHA, state, and other workplace and safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of fire and public safety issues.
• Demonstrated communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
