About The Position

The Production Technician intern will operate and maintain systems at Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) and Simple Cycle facilities. The role emphasizes safety awareness and strict adherence to procedures and processes to continuously improve performance by employees and contractors. The intern will work as part of a team, assist with day-to-day activities, and participate in a multi-year Production Technician multi-skill progression plan to develop maintenance and operations skills.

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled and pursuing a degree focused on Instrumentation, Electrical, and/or Process Technology.
• Must be currently enrolled as a student in a technical, associate, bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree program in a relevant field; enrollment may be full-time or part-time.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, verified through an official transcript from the previous semester.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day activities in a team environment.
• Maintain regulatory compliance, proactively work with agencies, and avoid reportable violations.
• Participate in the Production Technician multi-skill progression plan to develop maintenance and operations skills.
• Conduct and participate in job briefings and safety meetings.
• Apply knowledge of plant systems, burner controls where applicable, turbine controls, data acquisition, process controls, regulating devices, personal computers, and troubleshooting.
• Make operational rounds and perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Perform HRSG/Boiler water chemistry activities and CEMS monitoring and calibrations.
• Perform mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical maintenance as needed.
