About The Position
Powerfleet is seeking a hands-on Production Technician to join its Tampa operations team for a temporary 3–6 month assignment. The technician will build, test, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical devices with cellular connectivity. The role works with Operations, Logistics, and Quality teams to help meet production goals. This full-time position pays $25–$35 USD per hour, with actual compensation determined by experience and skills. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 40 in a workweek. Employees are paid biweekly.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with electronics, electro-mechanical assembly, repair, or production.
- Comfort using hand tools, computers, and basic test equipment.
- Good troubleshooting skills and strong attention to detail.
- Reliable and quality-focused, with comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble electro-mechanical devices according to work instructions.
- Configure devices and perform functional testing and quality inspections.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and complete repairs or rework as needed.
- Maintain accurate production, testing, and repair records.
- Partner with Operations, Logistics, and Quality teams to meet production goals.
