About The Position

This role involves learning, performing, and rotating between various positions on Line 4 Marination, including packer, scaler, styler, and grader, to maintain designated product line speeds. The position requires working on a moving conveyor belt using both hands, spreading or styling product, performing packing and weighing tasks, pulling bones from product, and inspecting and grading product to ensure it meets standards. Teamwork and participation in ongoing team development, communication, and policy implementation are essential. The role also requires familiarity with Simmons' operating systems, including quality, security, and office environment policies, and understanding the impact of individual actions on these systems. The position may involve rotating through cold and hot areas of the plant and requires the ability to make good decisions and communicate effectively.

Requirements

• Ability to move, push or pull up to 55 pounds from table to scales at waist level.
• Ability to bend, stoop, walk, stand and work in a cold, wet, noisy, dusty environment for entire shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion.
• Ability to rotate through cold and hot areas of the plant.
• Must wear standard waterproof gloves, sleeves, hearing protection, and slip-resistant footwear.
• Communication skills.
• Decision quality - Must have the ability to make good decisions and communicate effectively with others and leadership team.

• Preference for poultry or food processing organization experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn, perform, and rotate between the positions of packer, scaler, styler and grader to maintain line speeds.
• Spread or style product by hand on the belt.
• Perform multiple types of packing and weighing.
• Pull bones from product.
• Inspect, grade and remove product that does not meet standards.
• Participate as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness and supporting team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Attend appropriate team meetings.
• Accept responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team to resolve issues.
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
