About The Position

At GXO Logistics, the Production Technician Associate assembles trailer components and sub-assemblies and performs quality inspections of components and sub-assemblies. The role works with a variety of materials and uses blueprints or work instructions, measuring and inspection instruments, and power and hand tools. The position is performed in a manufacturing environment and may involve occasional outdoor work and travel availability of more than 75% of the time.

Requirements

• High degree of technical skills and assembly techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and follow job orders and work procedures.
• Ability to perform work in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent work or military experience.
• Two years of experience and a proven track record of successful performance in a warehouse environment.
• Availability to travel more than 75% of the time.
• Good communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and perform repetitive assembly of various trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions.
• Safely use measuring and inspection instruments.
• Use power and hand tools safely.
• Work with steel, sheet metal, aluminum, solvents, oils, and abrasives.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality standards.
• Organize parts and equipment to maximize efficiency within the department.
