Production Technician 1
About The Position
The Production Technician 1 works in Trenton, Ohio, as part of Molson Coors’ Integrated Supply Chain team. The role involves packaging, brewing, and/or shipping beer while seeking ways to improve processes, customer satisfaction, and product quality. Team members perform sanitation tasks and quality checks, and safely operate equipment used to brew and package products. The position is in a team-based union environment with a 180-day probationary period, in a warehouse environment on a fixed shift. Compensation starts at $22.33 per hour and increases to $26.83 per hour after successful completion of the probationary period. The position reports to the Line Lead and works closely with fellow team members.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Comfort with the physical requirements of the position, including standing, lifting, and walking.
- Experience in a team-based manufacturing environment.
- Forklift operating experience, or willingness to be trained and develop the ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete complex projects quickly and adeptly.
- Strong communication skills for discussing equipment operation and function with the team.
Nice To Haves
- Post-high-school education or technical training.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume facility.
- Operator-based maintenance experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment effectively and efficiently throughout each work shift, approximately 90% of the time.
- Perform sanitation tasks and quality checks.
- Assist with preventative maintenance, including lubrication and sanitation.
- Learn and perform equipment troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.
- Communicate with the team about matters concerning the operation and function of equipment.
- Contribute to process improvement, customer satisfaction, and product quality.
