About The Position

The Production Technician 1 supports site and plant operations through general upkeep, forklift operation, assistance with equipment and systems, and quality-control support. The role follows site-specific activities, safety procedures, HSE protocols, Syngenta policies, and the employee code of conduct. Technicians are expected to keep accurate production records and alert senior technicians or leadership to product non-conformities or process variances.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of relevant experience.
Ability to work multiple shifts.
Ability to obtain forklift certification within 90 days.
Ability to perform manual labor, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 70 pounds.
Knowledge of safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
Basic knowledge of routine maintenance procedures.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Perform general site upkeep, including maintenance, housekeeping, and stocking.
Operate forklifts to support plant operations.
Assist with operating equipment and systems in accordance with site-specific activities.
Support quality control and adherence to requirements.
Follow standard procedures, safety programs, site HSE protocols, Syngenta HSE policies, and the employee code of conduct.
Alert senior technicians and leadership when product non-conformities or process variances occur.
Keep production documents accurate.
Conduct inspections to ensure product quality.
