About The Position

The Production Tech position performs the labeling and boxing of finished product under the supervision and direction of the Boxing Supervisor.

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Performs the careful handling of packaged meat products in a fast paced environment
• Unloads product from combo unto belt
• Operates scale to verify product weight
• Makes cardboard boxes by hand
• Performs the labeling, boxing and stacking of finished product
• Must be able to stand between 2 – 3 hours at a time
• Must be willing to follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) of the company which include but are not limited to: use of a hair net, use of a company approved frock, no jewelry, no nail polish or artificial nails, no shorts, no open-toed shoes, no ripped clothing or rhinestones/glitter on clothing, no chewing gum, candy or tobacco.
• Occasionally sent to help in departments other than the home department when the situation necessitates doing so.
