About The Position
The Production Tech position performs the processing of cooked meat products under the supervisor and direction of the Processing Supervisor.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand between 2 – 3 hours at a time
- Must be willing to follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) of the company which include but are not limited to: use of a hair net, use of a company approved frock, no jewelry, no nail polish or artificial nails, no shorts, no open-toed shoes, no ripped clothing or rhinestones/glitter on clothing, no chewing gum, candy or tobacco.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Performs the careful handling of both cold and hot cooked meat products
- Inspects the meat for quality, removing anything that does not meet standards
- Verifies product weight by placing it on a scale
- Places product in packaging located on the Tiromat machine
- Cleans edges of packaging to ensure a proper seal
- Shovels product from a combo/container onto a table
