About The Position

The Production Tech position performs the processing of cooked meat products under the supervisor and direction of the Processing Supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand between 2 – 3 hours at a time
• Must be willing to follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) of the company which include but are not limited to: use of a hair net, use of a company approved frock, no jewelry, no nail polish or artificial nails, no shorts, no open-toed shoes, no ripped clothing or rhinestones/glitter on clothing, no chewing gum, candy or tobacco.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds
• The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
• Frequent use/motion of hands, wrists and arms are required
• The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or bend

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Performs the careful handling of both cold and hot cooked meat products
• Inspects the meat for quality, removing anything that does not meet standards
• Verifies product weight by placing it on a scale
• Places product in packaging located on the Tiromat machine
• Cleans edges of packaging to ensure a proper seal
• Shovels product from a combo/container onto a table
