About The Position

The Production Tech position performs the labeling and boxing of finished product under the supervision and direction of the Boxing Supervisor. This role involves the careful handling of packaged meat products in a fast-paced environment, operating scales to verify product weight, making cardboard boxes by hand, and performing the labeling, boxing, and stacking of finished product. Employees must be able to stand for 2-3 hours at a time and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) of the company.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand between 2 – 3 hours at a time
• Must be willing to follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) of the company which include but are not limited to: use of a hair net, use of a company approved frock, no jewelry, no nail polish or artificial nails, no shorts, no open-toed shoes, no ripped clothing or rhinestones/glitter on clothing, no chewing gum, candy or tobacco.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Frequent use/motion of hands, wrists and arms are required
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or bend.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
