Production Team Member
About The Position
Smurfit Westrock is hiring a Production Team Member to support operations at its fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility in Camillus, New York. The role involves performing production tasks safely, assisting operators with job functions and machine setup, conducting quality checks, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and learning manufacturing processes and machinery. The position offers training and development, competitive pay, and potential for advancement within the company. This is a union plant role. Employees must be able to work any shift; the assigned shift is communicated after training is completed. Shifts run Monday through Friday: first shift is 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, second shift is 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, and third shift is 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. Daily and weekend/Saturday overtime may be required. The starting rate is $20.96 per hour. After the 60-day working probation period and training and certification, pay ranges from $23.86 to $28.48 per hour, with shift differential for second and third shifts. Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits begin on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment. After successfully completing the 60-day probationary period, employees receive 40 hours of PTO and 8 hours of personal time; first-year vacation is prorated based on the start date.
