About The Position

PMC SMART Solutions is seeking a Production Team Member for light industrial production work supporting manufacturing for the automotive and medical industries. The role involves operating and maintaining production processes while meeting production targets and delivering high-quality products. Work is performed in climate-controlled facilities, and may involve a clean room environment. The position also contributes to quality-system activities, continuous improvement, and the training of new production operators.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and sufficient math skills to develop and understand Statistical Process Control.
• Acceptable pre-employment exam results.
• Ability to work well with others and contribute as a team member to shared success.
• Willingness to accept training and instruction to continually enhance work performance.
• Availability to support production when necessary.
• Timeliness in arriving at work and in production.
• Personal accountability for meeting assigned production goals.
• Attention to important safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production processes in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
• Strive to exceed quality requirements using the quality instruments provided and described in operator instructions.
• Understand Control Charts and identify out-of-control conditions involving visual and dimensional processes and product attributes; take corrective action or obtain technical assistance.
• Understand and report production history, scrap counts, and downtime.
• Continuously work to improve or exceed production standards.
• Assist in training and developing new production operators.
• Participate in and support implementation and maintenance of the company’s documented quality system as appropriate.
• Participate in creating and protecting PMC intellectual property, including trade secrets and patent applications.
• Perform additional duties that contribute to the overall efficiency of the company.
