About The Position

Under the general direction of the Production Supervisor, the Production Team Leader oversees, schedules, manages, and prioritizes daily production issues in a designated plant area. The role leads the production team to support smooth and efficient manufacturing operations while promoting a team environment. The position is hourly and non-exempt.

Forklift operation experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain adherence to safety guidelines and understanding of company policies related to attendance, safety, and quality.
Enforce, maintain, and foster quality policies and procedures.
Perform hard gage checks and adjust machines, fixtures, and programs as needed.
Perform tool changes on assigned lines, including broach changes, and understand tool-setting procedures.
Identify defective parts by visual inspection and perform corrections.
Use the MEPS system for downtime, Ekanban, inventory management, and related functions.
Know all carrier parts and part numbers machined in CBS, and where each carrier part can be machined.
Comply with work standards and the Team Leader's daily standard work.
Troubleshoot repair capabilities for in-storage and out-storage systems, coolant tanks, machines, and automation alarms.
Maintain and drive 5S expectations and foster continuous improvement within the team.
Verify tool-change dimensions for CNC technicians and operators.
Maintain and drive process checks and verification.
Perform changeovers from one carrier model to another.
Complete daily end-of-shift scrap reports for all Housing lines.
Maintain training records and train CNC technicians and operators.
Support key performance indicators, including safety, quality, and OEE (overall equipment efficiency).
