About The Position

This position ensures that the direction set forth by the Production Supervisor is followed through by the Production Associates. The Production Team Lead assists with the management of 10-60 production employees in the Production Department and is responsible for assisting with the overall direction and coordination of these units. Responsibilities include training employees, assigning and directing work, holding Production Associates accountable for efficiencies, and reviewing daily production numbers with associates. The role carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 1-2 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public group, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effectively communicate to internal and external business partners by sharing expertise to encourage accomplishment of shared business goals.
  • Actively support and collaborate with peers and team members to contribute to overall company success.
  • Display knowledge of department, applicable products, services and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and runs machines.
  • Trains employees on proper machine usage.
  • Assigns employees to machines.
  • Signs people off on machines that they have been trained on.
  • Assists floor supervisors and fills in as needed to back up the supervisors.
  • Assists with the management of 10-60 production employees in the Production Department.
  • Is responsible for assisting with the overall direction, coordination of these units.
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; assigning and directing work; holds Production Associates accountable for efficiencies; reviews daily production numbers with associates.
