About The Position

Konica Minolta is recruiting for an existing vacancy for a Production Systems Specialist. This role provides on-site maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, customer call assistance, installation and de-installation for Konica Minolta production and MFP equipment, printers, and non-Konika Minolta printers. The specialist also handles printing and scanning network configuration and troubleshooting across Windows and Mac OS environments, print-driver installation, file cloning, address-book transfers, and firmware upgrades. The position travels locally each day to customer sites, manages territory workload, communicates with customers and management, and supports customer satisfaction. Occasional travel outside the local area is required for training. The specialist completes product training, follows call-handling procedures and productivity measures, develops technical and troubleshooting capabilities, and uses company-issued technology and service resources. Other duties include maintaining territory truck inventory, training customers in basic device functions, completing timesheets and expense reports, and providing sales support as needed.

Requirements

Electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Familiarity with printing from common business applications and graphics programs.
Knowledge of Microsoft OS peer-to-peer and Mac OS client-side server environments.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to prioritize activities and schedules.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
Understanding of territory parts budgets and inventory control.
Basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
High school diploma or GED.
Two to three years of experience related to technical service or repair of business equipment.
N+ certification or equivalent.
Ability to pass background, security, and drug tests.
Use of a personal car, reliable transportation, and a valid driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
For internal applicants: Konica Minolta internal certifications in Outward Associate, Outward Professional, Outward Expert - Color, Outward Expert - Production Print, and Production Print Foundations Virtual Classroom, plus Fiery and/or Creo working knowledge and certification.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and customer call assistance for assigned production systems, MFP equipment, and printers, including non-Konika Minolta products.
Install and de-install equipment; configure and troubleshoot printing and scanning network issues on Windows and Mac OS; load print drivers; clone files; transfer address books; and perform firmware upgrades.
Travel locally to customer sites, manage territory work volume, and maintain customer communication and satisfaction.
Occasionally travel outside the local area for training.
Communicate customer or field issues to management.
Complete training classes and service assigned products effectively, requesting assistance when needed to meet customer demands.
Follow call-handling procedures and maintain required productivity measures.
Develop technical abilities, troubleshooting techniques, and productivity; use company technology and service resources, including manuals, bulletins, and parts information.
Maintain accurate ASL truck inventory for the designated territory.
Train customers on basic printing, scanning, and copying functions.
Complete weekly timesheets and expense reports accurately and on time.
Provide sales support as required, including advising sales on problem accounts and service leads.
Assist in creating equipment deployment guides.
