About The Position

The Production Support Senior leads work within a production cell to help ensure daily tasks are completed and the cell meets its safety, quality, delivery, and production goals. The role partners with coworkers and management to identify improvement opportunities and serves as a back-up lead person, learning the Assistant Production Supervisor role and providing back-up to front-line management.

The position is expected to lead daily cell huddles, promote a safe work environment and quality guidelines, welcome transfers and new employees, balance workloads, and help resolve issues so production can continue. The role also involves developing leadership, communication, listening, coaching, and relationship-building skills while modeling company values and supporting change and improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with work-cell associates and management to identify improvement opportunities and support change.
• Lead daily work-cell huddles by reviewing metrics and challenging the cell to meet and exceed goals.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Promote and use quality guidelines to ensure a quality product.
• Welcome transfers and new employees to the work cell.
• Lead workload-balancing decisions within the work cell.
• Encourage employees and help resolve issues as they arise to keep production moving.
• Learn the Assistant Production Supervisor role and serve as back-up to front-line management as a lead person.
• Model growth and help influence others toward appropriate reasons for change and improvement initiatives.
