About The Position

As our Production Support (Admin) Lead, you will be the "hands-on" leader of the administrative team that acts as the central nervous system for our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for coordinating the entire workflow of a job—from the moment the purchase order is received to the moment it is ready for shipment. This is a critical, fast-paced role that requires you to lead your team, manage the Business Unit (BU) workflow, and ensure all job-related data is 100% accurate. You will be the key liaison between Program Management, Production, and Quality to ensure a seamless flow of work.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to ITAR regulations.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in production control, production planning, or high-level manufacturing administration, preferably in an aerospace/defense environment.
  • Proven experience in a lead or mentorship role with the ability to coordinate a team's workflow.
  • Expert proficiency in an ERP/MRP system (Syspro preferred) is required.
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and customer data packages to ensure all requirements are captured at contract review.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, problem-solve, and manage priorities in a high-mix, low-volume (HMLV) manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100 quality system principles and the flow of work in a compliant factory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the production support team, managing the daily workflow and BU to ensure on-time job release and data accuracy.
  • Oversee the contract review and order entry process, ensuring all new purchase orders are entered accurately and all technical data is included.
  • Manage the job release process, including creating travelers, coordinating the printing of form boards, and logging all new SO/POs.
  • Act as the team's primary problem-solver, deploying expeditors to identify and clear bottlenecks (e.g., Issue Rack, Test Rack) and resolving errors in the BU.
  • Manage all customer-facing portals, acknowledging and updating promise dates based on real-time production status.
  • Coordinate all shipping and final quality support activities, including creating FAI packages, submitting e-certs, and requesting customer source inspections.
  • Oversee job close-out, including issuing consumables and updating the production status and shipping logs.
  • Review and manage shipping schedules, promise dates, and need dates to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with all departments (PMs, Buyers, Quality, Production) to communicate status and resolve issues.
