About The Position

The Production Supervisor works in Abbott’s Nutrition division at its Altavista, Virginia manufacturing plant. The role coordinates production team activities to meet shift and line performance goals, develops team members through training and coaching, and promotes safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. The supervisor also drives operational efficiency using key metrics and manages expenses, including labor and overtime costs. The position is accountable for compliance with FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies and procedures. The position may be hired at level 14 or 16 depending on experience and business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, food technology, or engineering; alternatively, two years of supervisory experience in a regulated industry with a GED or high school diploma.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
