About The Position

The Production Supervisor works at Abbott’s Altavista, Virginia plant in the Abbott Nutrition division. The role coordinates production team activities to achieve shift and line performance, develops team members through training, coaching, and feedback, and promotes a culture of safety, quality, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement. The supervisor drives operational efficiency using performance metrics and manages expenses, including labor and overtime costs. The position is accountable for compliance with FDA and OSHA requirements and Abbott policies and procedures. The role is identified as a third-shift position and requires travel 5% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, food technology, or engineering; alternatively, two years of supervisory experience in a regulated industry with a GED or high school diploma.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
