About The Position

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for creating and managing the production schedule within a software application to ensure customer ship dates are achieved and inventory is available. This includes scheduling of equipment, supplies, and staff. The role involves preparing and managing reports on production efficiencies, raw materials, and inventory levels, and ensuring employees accurately document production and quality measurements. The supervisor will collaborate with purchasing, shipping, and sales order teams, and verify that finished goods meet quality parameters and are made with the correct materials and mix ratios. This position also involves working with the Plant Manager on staffing levels, supervising a team of up to 6 employees, and ensuring production equipment is operational by working with the Maintenance Technician. Adherence to health, safety, compliance, and company policies is crucial. The role requires communicating problems to the Plant Manager and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of leading manufacturing teams.
  • Ability to Drive Forklift.
  • 1-2 years of previous supervisory experience.
  • Ability to operate applications and order management software including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to problem solve and escalate issues when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and managing production schedule within software application to ensure that customer ship dates are achieved and inventory is available.
  • Scheduling of equipment and supplies to production and staff to responsibilities.
  • Prepare and manage reports related to production efficiencies, raw materials needed and inventory levels.
  • Ensure employees are completing written documentation of production and quality measurements.
  • Works closely with purchasing, shipping and sales order team members.
  • Ensure finished goods are being made with correct materials, correct mix ratio, and the product is within quality parameters.
  • Work with Plant Manager to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained.
  • Supervise a team of up to 6 employees and provide motivation, support and guidance.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Technician to ensure production equipment is operational and downtime is minimized.
  • Ensure health, safety and compliance standards are being followed.
  • Comply and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate problems or obstacles to Plant Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
