About The Position

Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a production unit at a high-volume manufacturing facility. The role manages day-to-day production operations and directly leads hourly production staff, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met in a fast-paced environment. The supervisor works alongside production teams on the floor for most of the day and partners with site leadership and internal departments to improve operational performance.

Requirements

At least three years of manufacturing leadership experience in a production environment.
Proven ability to succeed in a demanding, high-volume production environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop frontline production teams.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for production tracking and reporting.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and focus resources on high-value work.
General understanding of OSHA regulations.
Strong financial and operational acumen.
Ability to work alongside production-floor teams for most of the day.
Ability to foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
Proven history of strong safety performance, including low TRIR and LTIR.

Experience managing a plant or process operation.

Responsibilities

Ensure production operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental requirements.
Directly manage shift leads, operators, and general laborers.
Plan and organize production schedules to meet production targets and deadlines.
Continuously monitor production processes and adjust schedules or resources as needed.
Maintain quality control standards and ensure compliance with company policies.
Use production metrics to identify trends, drive improvements, and maximize uptime, throughput, and profitability.
Optimize workflow, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency while reducing waste.
Collaborate with procurement, logistics, maintenance, and other internal departments.
Track daily production performance and prepare accurate reports for site leadership.
Manage production budgets, equipment, tooling, and raw materials.
Ensure production equipment is operated correctly and preventive maintenance activities are executed.
Partner with site leadership to drive strong operational results.
