About The Position

UniFirst is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Production Supervisor to help lead the production team and drive high-level performance. The role supervises plant operations in accordance with directives from the Assistant Production Manager and company policies and goals. The supervisor supports production flow, personnel training, workplace morale and safety, reporting, inventory management, and resolution of team partner concerns. On-the-job training is provided. The position has a 40-hour work week, with Saturday and Sunday off.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
• Basic math skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Two-year degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• 2–4 years of related experience and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support production process flow.
• Support the training of plant personnel.
• Support overall morale and safety at the location.
• Report operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems as they arise.
• Support production data entry and report review.
• Support management of inventory.
• Work with Production Management to address team partner concerns.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
